1. Amin: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCVPlpdr1bwK4Inc4QO8gN2w
He is Morrocan, and he has some pretty off the wall type of videos about exploring places (interdit) in France and elsewhere. Great for students to hear a different French accent. Suggested playlist: Explorations.
Video of particular note of his (I ADORE THIS VIDEO FOR SO MANY REASONS): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LPv7jnb41Tchttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LPv7jnb41Tc
2. Bloqués: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCd0V9SfenWqlPsTt5-AyN8A
GREAT comedy sketches. It is really good bro-humour, but this is some next level French slang. Prepare yourself for all the verlan and inside jokes of the French youth. I realllllly have to concentrate when I watch these videos. It also may not be available in your country without a VPN. Fare-thee warned. These two guys are also the artists of Casseurs-Flowters, if you need a new music group to enjoy. It's French rap. None of it is family oriented. *cough*
Their music: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCywOGWRNk-2OPRLc8weD6lA
3. Cyprien: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCyWqModMQlbIo8274Wh_ZsQ
Great comedy sketches. I believe he is the most subscribed French youtuber at the moment... or at least, he was. 10/10 stars. Would yelp again. All types of videos as for comedic stylings.
4. Damon and Jo: https://www.youtube.com/user/DamonAndJo
These are two Americans who LOVE to study languages, and they have some really fun videos to teach you some French that would otherwise not be taught in the classroom. Great for people who are about to study abroad. They have a lot of tips. Check out, in particular, their French Playlist. Super amusing.
5. Ernest: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCU4MvCmF242f1MsmbI1OSdQ
A bit of an oddball, but he is a French youtuber who is obstinate about doing his videos in English. Why do I mention this? I have talked to him before, and he refuses to do videos in French. Quelle dommage. He has several videos about "How to be French" that students might enjoy as a precursor to slamming them with more substantial French youtubers. Comme vous voulez.
6. Gad Elmaleh: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7Ob6OxTzNbQ
Random Video that I LOVE. A Morroccan comedian named Gad Elmaleh who talks about Moroccan stereotypes in France. Comedy gold.
7. LaChaineDeJeremy: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC6irqcoPrFw8GPXVYKLsMtw
He has a couple good humor videos, and I believe he speaks Spanish as well. Still working on the conspiracy behind that one.
8. Le Rire Jaune: https://www.youtube.com/user/LeRiiiiiiiireJaune
I LOVE THESE TWO GUYS. They are two brothers. Yes, they speak super fast. However, it is great practice for students to get them more accustomed to the speed of actual French in real life. It's pretty great humor as well as showing how two sons of Chinese immigrants experience France. They are completely French, though. Also, they are parisiens. So.
9. Norman Fait Des Videos: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCww2zZWg4Cf5xcRKG-ThmXQ
I recant what I said previously about Cyprien. Norman is the king of all French youtubers. He makes comedy sketches, etc. Pretty great. All types of subjects. Love it. He also has a couple of songs that might interest the students.
10. Pat la Realisation: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCvhe7CQpowQJwyog7VQWUyg
He's a recent find for me. He had a couple interesting videos about race I watched. Mostly humor.
11. Seb la Frite: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCK3inMNRNAVUleEbpDU1k2g
Comedy that especially men would enjoy.
12. What the F*ck France: https://youtu.be/pz0XgAKR9Oc
This is just one video of a series called "What the F*ck France" where an Englishman tackles a subject matter of the French language and rants about it. All are simply hilarious- and not appropriate at all for class. The production quality of these are brilliant. Topics include: the language, la bise, le vin, le fromage, les grèves, etc. All are hilarious. Put these on the top of your watch list. Happy viewing!
Enjoy!
